Staff

Do certain staff positions require a certification or other qualification?

Yes, many of our Area Directors are required to attend National Camping School. Other areas such as Health Office and Food Service Staff require area specific certifications.
Can a job at Ingersoll count towards my internship?

Depending on the requirements of your internship program. We have had summer camp staff members use their time at camp towards a college internship. If you are interested, please contact the Camp Director to set up a time to discuss this opportunity.
Does Ingersoll need any volunteers?

Yes, Ingersoll Scout Reservation always welcomes Adult Volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering at camp, please contact the Camp Director with your available dates and areas of interest.
What do I need uniform wise to be on staff?

Each staff member is required to have one (two recommended) Field Uniforms (Shirt, Pants, Belt, Socks). You are also required to wear BSA T-shirts whenever you are not in Field Uniform.
How do I apply to be on Staff?

Applications are available at www.isrsummercamp.org. Fill out the application and submit it to the W. D. Boyce Council Service Center.
How old do you have to be to be on staff?

Paid staff members must be at least 16 years of age by the time their employment begins. Anyone age 14 or up is eligible to enroll in the Counselor in Training Program.
