Programs

  • How will I know what merit badges my scouts have completed?

    During your unit checkout you will receive a packet with all of your merit badge completion and partials.  You will receive the opportunity to review these advancements with the Ingersoll Staff before your departure.

  • Is there a C.O.P.E. Program at ISR?

    Yes, Ingersoll offers a Low C.O.P.E. Course every day during lunch.  C.O.P.E. is for Scouts 13 years old and above who are looking to engage themselves in challenging team building activities.  It offers a great atmosphere for troop and patrol enhancement.

  • What is Brownsea Island?

    Brownsea Island is our First Year Camper program.  It is designed to assist a Scout through the Tenderfoot, Second Class, and First Class programs.  Scouts attending will work on skills for each of these ranks as well as become familiar with each program area in camp.

  • How many Camp Wilderness activities can my troop sign up for?

    Each unit can sign up for three activities.  If there are additional openings once you arrive at camp, you may be able to sign up for others.

  • What is Camp Wilderness?

    Camp Wilderness is a unique program to Ingersoll Scout Reservation.  It offers a variety of Outpost Camps including Horseshoe Bend, Paul Bunyan, Crawdad, Kayaking Overnighter, Astronomy Overnighter, and more!

  • Are Open Swim, Open Boating, Open Shotgun, and etc.. Merit Badges?

    Yes, each area has open times each day. The schedule will be released in the Leader's Guide.

  • Is there a fee for any of the Merit Badges?

    Some Merit Badges have fees associated with them.  Please see our  Merit Badge selection.

  • Are there times when scouts can do open activities?

    There are various open activities throughout the day.  4PM- 5PM is also open areas.

  • How do we know what times the merit badges are at?

    A Merit Badge schedule will be available in the 2011 Leader's Guide

  • Are there any requirements that need to be completed before camp for any of the merit badges?

    Yes,some Merit Badges have requirements that can't be completed at camp. Please refer to our Merit Badge selection page here

  • What Merit Badges are offered?

    We offer over 40 Merit Badges at camp.  Please see our Merit Badge selection here.
